Marcelo is a nursing professional who has devoted his 25-year career to the care of critically ill patients holding various positions in neurosciences, burn management, medical intensive care, Rapid Response, trauma and vascular surgery. Marcelo is also a Gulf War Veteran who served in the United States Air Force as a flight medic during Desert Shield and Desert Storm. His current role as a program coordinator for a high volume aortic center has allowed him to encapsulate an innovated practice strategy that has bridged various medical support industries, hospital administration, community resources and a multidisciplinary healthcare team cohesively delivering optimal care for patients with various aortic pathologies.  

Marcelo has built a successful center of excellence on fundamentals of evidence base practices, research, mentor, adopting disruptive technologies, advisor to senior hospital leadership teams, optimizing business relationships with community physicians, hospitals, and imaging centers. He has been the catalyst for team publications in peer reviewed vascular surgery journals, optimizing education to the health team members, marketing and branding a successful aortic center to better the community and optimizing the care delivery model as world class.   

Marcelo successful tenures with the United States Military, Tampa General Hospital and others has allowed him to develop the trust of many surgeons, hospital administrators and the healthcare community. He has built a track record of advisory skills, clinical judgement excellence, business relationships and is well respected amongst his peers. He has proven to develop and innovated aortic center along with optimizing technology in the operative suite giving a healthcare organization a trajectory of clinical excellence.
